Anybody else play any Hellgate: London? I downloaded and played a little, but I have been spending much more time on World of Tanks lately.

avatar

Rictus

What about Silkroad Online. Also, I think RF Online is still around too.

avatar

chubbs1900

Vindictus is such an epic game and there arent any weekly restrictions anymore.  PvP is around the corner and the customization is just topps.  It's a constantly evolving offering.  4 Classes to choose from and 1 on the way.  Huge player base and it only seems to be growing.  Only downside is that it's easily hacked to be able to beat missions faster.

what about wow? its f2p till lvl 20

You missed Star Trek Online.  It was subscriber based and owned by Atari, but it's been sold and will be going F2P soon.

battleforge is pretty good, nice graphically, bit strategy in natrue capturing nodes to spawn - or setting up remote ones. nice game play. can make you vid card and cpu struggle at higher settings

I gotta give a shout out to Bloodline Champions. I was pretty surprised to not see it in this list since it is a very polished game. It's an arena PvP game similar to Diablo PvP. Definitely would be in the top 5 in this list. Check it out (bloodlinechampions.com).

I just spent an afternoon trying Vindictus, and it's great!  Thanks for the recommend!

ive got a bit of a beef with this list. where are runescape and combat arms? both are stellar free to play online games

avatar

TF2, WoT, and LoL are probably the only ones on that list worth playing.

avatar

anyone know how to get gunbound to run in win7 i havent been able to play it since buying the new computer.

avatar

DDRDiesel

I love me some LoL, but you guys forgot one game from Ijji that's been around almost as long as Gunbound.  GunZ: The Duel.  Fast-paced physics-glitch based gameplay, but the learning curve isn't as steep as one would expect.  Check it out on Youtube

The only F2P game I ever really got into was Runes of Magic.  That game was anything but F2P at end game.  So I will contiue to pay month to month for a game that I'm into (and no I've never once played WOW).  Am looking forward to Secret World though.  F2P games are for the birds unless they can offer a Pay to Play server with a good population.

avatar

noobstix

Probably the only MMOs I would say are worth it from that list are Atlantica Online, Vindictus, and Rusty Hearts.  Out of those 3, I played AO the most (got my character up to lvl 96 before I decided to quit since I got tired of grinding and PvPing).  Although Vindictus was good, I couldn't get past the lag issues and haven't picked it back up since.  Rusty Hearts was fun for the 70+ hours I put into it (I played it via Steam) but I wasted some precious exp gains trying to entertain myself while I waited for the patch that raised the level cap,  As a result, I had to result to grinding (which I didn't feel like doing).  I'll probably play it again once Natasha is released.

I spent around seven years playing Gunbound and got ranked somewhere around the 900th spot overall.  I never used an aimbot and I've never cheated in anyway.  I would never recommend what gunbound has become to anyone, it's a disappointing game. Because of the paid for items, the game now is dominated by people who are only winning because they can use overpowering weapons available only to paid players. I've played games before where paid service has an "advantage", but gunbound takes it to another level. If you've ever played gunbound, then you would understand what I mean when I say this is the most disappointing death to a game I'll ever see.

No Alliance of Valiant Arms? I'm disappoint.
